Huge apologies for letting this be so dormant. I’ve got many fantastic excuses, maybe the primary one being that I speak English only in text messages these days and am too busy trying to learn the Kyrgyz translation for “downward facing dog” to read books. Also I don’t have Internet! But no excuse is truly fantastic, especially when I remember that if I stop reading and reviewing books I will lose my only true talent, and the skills I am picking up here, although they are admittedly sweet, will be useless unless I spend the rest of my life living on a farm with no running water.
There’s talk of the embassy funding Internet for my school. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll buy a modem or something. I’m pretty sure that the rest of the summer I will be too busy frolicking in the mountains with my very exciting visitor who is coming in two weeks, slash trying to learn Russian and facilitate architectural research and learn how to teach ESL because I don’t actually know. I’ll be back. Eventually. Have a great summer and mail me some books!
